Is it worth paying for a web designer?

Learn why website designers are worth their weight in gold

Usually when we are asked this question, we normally reply yes, and here’s why.

Web designers like any other trade, know the rules to abide by when it comes to ensuring it meets Google requirements. Very often free websites like wix, whilst ok, require a ton of work in the background to ensure it can even be half ranked.

Web designers usually invest, like any tradesman in software to ensure they’re up to date with the latest updates needed for a smooth process and responsive design.

Speed is also another aspect to take into account, each time an update happens, your site requires the speed to be updated, this isn’t an automatic process and therefore your web designer will already have this in hand and be looking after you in the background.

Before we answer this question about is a website worth it for small businesses, ask yourself this. When you book a car rental, a holiday, look for home to rent or buy, would you trust this just by seeing it on Facebook or social media? Of course you wouldn’t.

Websites provide assurances and credibility to your customers and users, it offers a platform where trust can be achieved, find contact info, check reviews, see proper information and find out about the person behind the social media account.

In 2022 over £10m scams were found on Facebook and Instagram alone, and 99.9% of these scams were carried out by “so called businesses” who didn’t have a website. Just look at your local marketplace, you’ll read them over and over about who was scammed and does anyone know how to locate the person.

Websites take that fear away, especially when they are designed professionally and contain vital information, so yes, a website is worth it for small businesses.
